Question about stats and slips

If one slips, one puff or one smoke, does she/he change their quit date to the next day? or is it left as the original quit date unless the person becomes a smoker again?   uh.. I'm new here, if you cant tell by the above question...   I just want to make sure I do this right.... :-)
