ICL I have been missing you. we are so close in quit dates..
I am SOOOOO SOrry you smoked.. I have had "junkie thoughts" and I had a couple days from hell.. and thought about caving.. What got me through was the thought of the disappointment my family would have, and also I did not want to turn that meter back to ZERO.
I sat in the car CRYING and swearing. and praying.. and telling myself lighting up is NOT going to change this situation. The cat will still need surgery. If I smoke then I am burning $$$$$$ and I will still need to get through this.. and then I will be needing to feed the nicotine craving, I will smell like stale smoke again, and on top of the cat needing vet care and surgery.. I will be looking for that next cigarette... my life/freedom will be gone and I will be looking for that next nicotine fix.. and spending $$ ON smokes... and they just raised the prices again.
YOU know the program, you already threw them away... stay close, post reply, scream whatever it takes.. PLEASE PLEASE keep those things away from you... I consider you one of my quit buddies since we are soo close in quit dates. What will it take.. I will pledge to you.. NO smoking.. the time differences may be off for us... but I pledge if I have a craving I will come here and YELL for help.. I will wait for messages from all the wonderful people here.. and I will look for one from YOU.
Ican't tell You how much more committed this quit became, how many people have cheered me up, listened to me, are heere for me.. whe I need a HUG I get one, as well as when I need shaking, and a gentle kick in the shins I will get that too.
Smoking is an Option... and YOU CHOSE LIFE.... stick to it bud, buck up.. and don't let those thoughts sneak in.. you dropped your armor, now pick it up.. and remeber NOPE. make some index cards. cut them to the size of a pack of smokes.. carry them around, and when you have a crave.. pull them out and read them.. write our names on one... we all care .. and want you smoke free and celebrating..
