Den, We know this symptom! Your feeling spaced out and unfocused, this is normal. Take the time to do one task at a time, one step at a time. Looks like you body is calling for rest. So give it a break and let it heal. Nothing wrong with going to bed super early one night :) Josie, Health Educator

You need to get happy that you quit. You are doing this!!! Yeah!!! Now give yourself a pep talk and a pat on the back. Let me see a smile - you did it, you survived a day without smoking. The "it's ok, just start smoking again" is just your adiction talking. you are adicted to THE most adictive substance on the face of the earth. There isn't anything that's more addictive. If you have just one puff - you will be a smoker. Nobody can just have one puff. Not even those that claim to be "just social smokers". They still can't stop smoking - no matter how long they can keep the withdrawals at bay in between smoking. The fog is normal - the lethargic is normal - the ppain is normal. It doesn't make it any one bit less serious for ou, and we all feel your pain. Congrats on coming here when it got bad - you did the right thing! Reward yourself for making it - reward well and reward often!!! Take good care of yourself today.. get plenty of rest - take a long bath or whatever you do when you pamper yourself. Okay it has now been just over 24 hours since my last smoke. I think i am just going to go to bed, this is just NOT fun. The physical stuff i am kinda getting used to, annoying as it is. Being home and not being busy is making me realize how much i do want a cigarette right now. I guess i will see what tomorrow brings. I am going to go read and see if that keeps my mind busy. I don't know if i am going to scream or cry, changes by the minute. Part of me wants someone to say, "it's okay - just start smoking again" the other part of me thinks about the negative aspect of smoking and says just keep on going. Den, we all have been though this and your are so normal. I couldn't put two sentences together that made any sense :p. I felt light headed, tired and just not all together, not saying I am LOL. You will be okay. You will not die from withdrawals, but you could die from smoking. It all makes sense Den...that's exactly how we all felt day one! Hang in there! Pamper yourself these first couple of weeks. I found that chocolate covered peanuts really helped perk me up! Do the deep breathing exercises when you get a bad spell, they really help! Have some goodies on hand to munch on, carrot sticks, cut up veggies with dip, suckers, I sucked on a straw alot and that helped me alot. Rearrange your computer room too, that will help the triggers a bit too! For some reason, just rearranging your routines also helps. Hang in there Den! Your body needs time to get rid of those awful drugs and it is sooooo worth the time and effort! You will feel better soon, it gets a wee bit better each and every day and suddenly you will go "Hey, I forgot about it!" Just got home from work. Light headed, dizzy, lethargic, couldn't really care less about very much, don't really want to talk to my boyfriend about quitting. This morning everything went in super slow motion, physically is was there, but that was it. I felt like i was very drugged. No, make that EXTREMELY drugged. Now i just feel drugged and tired, no energy what so ever. Supposed to go to the gym, can't get the motivation or energy to do that. Seems impossible. I think i am mad cause i am doing something and i don't know why i am doing it, i just am. I am not sure if i want to but i am doing it anyway. Hope some of this makes sense. Gotta go cause i noticed that my computer is kind of a trigger for me. GRRRRR :mad: Will return soon.
