Seamus and friends,
This is Rose2007. Some of the great people that have responded to you have also been trying to help me.
I had a 160 day quit in my pocket, and then for some "reason" smoked. I have had about 10 smokes and have been having a hard time getting back on the program. For a week I have been buying a pack, smoking one or two and throwing it in the trash. Of course, I have been doing this behind my family's back. Oh yes all, I am NOT feeling good about myself at all.
The people on this site have told me that I am strong based on the fact that I quit for 160+ days. Guess what, today I am going to believe them. I felt so bad that I finally told my daughter who is 22. She agreed to be there for me and will not tell anyone unless I smoked again. She will be a good support for me and it helped me to talk out face to face to her.
So hear is my opportunity to save face, my health and not upset my family and friends. I am taking it.
So here I am with a renewed viewpoint and wanting my quit back. I reset my meter and I am a non-smoker again as of right now.
It is actually all about making a final decision. I am making mine. Join me if and when you are ready we will move forward to freedom. There will never be a better time for either of us.
We can do this!
Rose
