Patches and Appetite

Members, As you can see many members notice an increase in appetite as their bodies readjust. Nicotine suppressed your appetite and made food travel through your gut quicker, so you absorbed less of what you were actually eating. In addition to a lull in your metabolism rate, you're very likely to gain a little weight. Keep in mind this is TEMPORARY and it can be solved. Make healthier choices and start increasing your level of physical activity. Your metabolism will help you along as it starts to speed up again after a short time period. Don't worry, just like the quit, we can make it a team effort! Danielle ________________________ The SSC Support Team

Serenity, Each one of us has a unique genetic makeup. Our metabolisms are all different. As we quit smoking, we have to give our bodies time to heal. Therefore, when we quit smoking, it is best for us to make the right decisions in our every day food selections. While diet and exercise is a great combination, give your body time to adjust to the changes it is experiencing. You may not see results in days or even weeks. This is ok, be happy that you have made the choice to quit smoking. Please continue to visit us to let us know how you are getting through each day. Congratulations on making the decision to quit smoking. Take care, Melanie ________________________________ The SSC Support Team
