There are days like this for all of us. After 76 days, you know that these feelings will pass if you just hang on. Go back to the tools you used to get you through in the beginning. They still work. Keep repeating to yourself "I have come too far and I'm not giving up now". Say this to yourself over and over again.
As you hand out those smokes at work, look at the people you are handing them too and how desperate they are for that fix. You may WANT a cigarette right now and you may be craving really bad but you do not NEED that fix like they do. Remember when we thought that if we didn't have a smoke right away we would just die! Those days are over. Now it is a want and it is your choice whether or not to give in to that want. You choose.
What do you want to do? Look deep inside of yourself and ask yourself a question. Do you want to continue along the journey of a lifetime to freedom from the enslavement of smoking? or Do you want turn around, throw everything you have worked so hard for away, and go back to where you came from?
I will give you a little bit of advise I have picked up from being around here for over a year. Those that decide to turn around and go back, spend a long time trying to get back to where you are now. It is so much easier to just hold on, let these feelings pass, and move forward. Refuse to give in to the addiction ever again.
