You will get alot of responses to those questions.
Biggest Motivation: My health, I'm tired of getting bronchitis and have it last two months....I'm tired of getting pneumonia every year. I'm tired of going up one flight of stairs and being out of breath, and I'm tired of the chest pain and the smoker's cough. I don't want to become a lung cancer statistic.
Method: I'm using the patch.
Most helpful tips: Have a plan. If you need an NRT or a medication, get it prior to your quit date. Know what your trigger's are, come up with creative ways to deal with stress and deal with cravings. Reward yourself often. Write out your reasons for quitting and carry them with you to remind yourself of why you don't smoke. Make sure you have someone to talk to when you feel overwhelmed who will support you through this process. And forever protect your quit!
