I see it as a reward. Sometimes Mrs Ed offers to make me a coffee, and then forgets(it's her age). I then get that feeling I used to get when smoking, for example when stuck at work in a long meeting and having to do without a 'reward' when your brain expects it.
And Phil's point about the alcohol? I am the same, a drink never triggers anything off for me. Yes, it must be kept in check, but as far as I'm concerned it's another reward.
