Still hanging in there and gratful for every second. I wish the desire would leave completely but at least I can fight that sneaky demon and keep him away. I have been really tempted several times but have managed to remember my reasons for quitting and stay with it. What I seem to have problems is that ole urge to sneak just one and nobody will know thinking. I have no idea why this has been such a demom for me. I promised myself that will not light up without coming here and posting and being totally honest about my thoughts and feelings. This support group has been a life saver for me. I just want to get rid of this darn ole nicodemon. Sometimes I'm not even thinking about smoking but see a pack that someone else has left on a table or something and I'm really tempted to grab one when no one is looking. This bothers me as this has always been a problem for me. In the past I have smoked it only to get really dizzy and nauseous and then hate myself to doing it. I don't ever want to have that feeling again and I hope I can remember how awful it is BEFORE I grab one. I am staying strong and always say N. O. P. E. Feel better getting this off my chest!! 30 days + is totally cool Cuddles It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit...... Mookie, Tremendous accomplishment! The first month is a bear and you faced it head on and came out a winner. It sounds like you have a positive outlook and a sound game plan for those tough craves. Those will get you through anything. Mookie, This is one question we ask ourselves at every stage of our quit. Members, can you relate to Mookie? How do you cope with your temptations? Please join in on this great discussion :). Melanie _______________________ The SSC Support Team
