Hi Bingo,
Ha Ha Ha!! You have a very funny and light outlook on the predicament that we've all put ourselves in. Yep, I'm there too (can't let my weight gain surpass the days I've quit!). So I say, good for you, especially for the dedication to your quit and your health. I have gained 9 pounds since the beginning of my quit and my belly for the first time in my life refuses to follow the rest of me during a jog. In fact, I believe it throws itself in the exact opposite direction than the rest of my body at any given moment. So, my strategy is to jump start my metabolism through exercise. I bought an elliptical machine when I quit and have recently started to use it daily for at least 20 mins. I can't say that I've been counting calories though. You, on the other hand, are doing GREAT, by the way!
Best,
Joonie
