Rd Man The Quit and all the Stories

Phillip I'm glad they are trying to figure out what's wrong and I hope it is nothing too serious. This won't jeopardize your quit, will it? I think Lady has it right. Wait until the test results are in, and no matter what it is, there are a lot of available remedies. I'll be thinking about you during the coming days. -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 159 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,360 Amount Saved: $1,081.20 Life Gained: Days: 22 Hrs: 5 Mins: 23 Seconds: 26

Phillip, You have an awesome quit. I'm sure whatever is wrong can be corrected. Try not to worry until you know there is something to worry about. This is probably nothing. Even if it is, modern medicine is incredible! Your stats are amazing. Be proud and remain quit. You made it! You quit smoking so you can do anything. No need to freak out. A tiny bit freaked out. To the Doctor today to check about the breathing issues I have been having and I am being sent into a round of tests and imaging. There are so many things this could be and so much of it relates to how much I smoked over so many years. So even though I have been quit for a year and a half there are still issues and problems that are coming up as a result of the damage I caused. So here I go and I hope it all comes out for the best. A lovely quote for me today.
Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.
So I am not dead, I am barely sick and here I go. Still swimming and still quit after all these days and months. I'm here...good to hear from you both as, quitting aside, I regard you both as soul buddies...your words resonate!!! England went nuts with the build up to the no-smoking-in-enclosed-public-places-law....which nearly drove me to nicotine in protest....conforming has never been one of my strongest qualities. Plus, the weather has been extraordinarily rubbish, even for a British summer. Other than that things are peachy...weird how this thread has unfrozen itself !! Take care of yourselves, best regards, Lilly. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 465 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 13,950 Amount Saved: 3,487.50 Life Gained: Days: 61 Hrs: 13 Mins: 50 Seconds: 52

Oh good- it's not frozen....and where is Lilly? Congrats and 1 1/2 years to you, Phillip (and to me -1 day and a dollar short, as usual!) It's good to see us old hippies still hangin on to the quit. You made all the difference. Now where the heck is Lilly? Another post to say off again to CA and the warm desert sun. MMMMMM I have to say that the air as clean as it was, was a pleasure to breath and I am glad to be going back even though it is for such a short time. Anything to get out of the pollution and humidity and the constricted feelings I get in my chest. When I get back I have determined to go for another test to see if there is anything that is not right. I don't know if there is anything even to do to correct. I spoke to another long term quitter who has the same problem with breathing in the hot and humid weather. He said that the more time the more healing there can be. So. Time really does heal all. I will wait and see. I noticed that at this time last year I had very similar issues with breath and comfort and Perhaps it is just something that comes with this season and the time of year. Oh well. Just keep going cause it really does get better as time goes on. Cheerio. TTFN Phillip :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 519 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 12,975 Amount Saved: $4,411.50 Life Gained: Days: 84 Hrs: 14 Mins: 56 Seconds: 3
